Would you like to play golf on full time and develop your talent for the game?
At ISI Golf you can test your abilities in one of the most unique golf environments in Denmark. Boys and girls alike gather here to enjoy their common passion for golf in an inspiring high school environment and community, which will give you many valuable personal skills.
The framework is the ambitious mid-Jutland golf environment with its tradition for talent development. The starting point for the training is your current level of play, your ambitions and your goals. The instructors are among the best in the country - in terms of both technical and tactical as well as psychological golf training.
Add to this our unique facilities - such as ISI’s covered driving range and short game area in our own backyard, as well as access to all the latest in training technology. You furthermore have access to two golf courses, both within cycling distance from the school.
At ISI we offer approximately 10 hours of golf and golf related physical training per week - naturally so that it fits in with the general schedule at the high school. Several times a week you will have the opportunity to play proper rounds on a golf course.
The training takes its starting point in your goals and ambitions, and includes golf technique as well as mental and physical training.
For the most part the training takes place at the school’s own covered driving range and short game area. We use a wide range of technological aids in the training, such as Trackman, SAM putt, SAM balance board, BioDynamic and video recordings.
In terms of fitness and focus we have divided the year into these seasonally relevant terms:
As a student at ISI you have free access to the golf courses at Ikast Golf Club and Tullamore Golf Club.
At ISI and in the surrounding area you have access to lots of golf activities:
Do you dream of becoming a golf instructor or would like like to try your hand at teaching golf? If so, you can take the Danish basic golf instructor course (GTU), in connection with your stay at ISI.
GTU consists of both the rules and principles of golf technique, as well as training methodologies and pedagogy, and an opportunity for a 3-week instructor internship in connection with the school's intensive summer golf programme, High School and Golf.
With a GTU you can become a junior instructor without losing your amateur status. The training is furthermore a prerequisite to beginning an apprenticeship as a PGA golf instructor.
