Padel

At ISI Sports Folk High School, we've gone all in on the extremely popular racket sport and created Denmark's first padel programme for those who are passionate about the game. At the school, we provide a fun and inspiring training environment focused on helping you develop as a padel player.

When you join this programme, you'll get the best training facilities you can imagine - all in a unique folk high school environment. We have one of the country's best padel centres with 15 indoor courses and more classes than any other folk high school.

Coach Education

On the ISI Padel programme, you will also recive coaching qualifications that you can use in your future padel career. As part of the programme, you will gain direct certification and official proof of completion of DGI and the Danish Tennis Federation's popular Padel Coach courses 1 + 2 + 3.

The education is for both those who are passionate about coaching and those who simply see it as a valuable addition to their resume. There is high demand for padel coaches in sports centres across Denmark, which means there are great opportunities to work in the sport afterwards. You will also have the chance to try yourself out as a coach at Padelworld in Ikast, who is our partner organization.

Life at the ISI Padel Programme

At the padel programme, we have classes 5 times each week where we'll dive into the fascinating game.
We work with various aspects of the game - focusing on technical, tactical, physical and mental elements. Our focus is on communication, relations and teamwork as well as building positive connections and a sense of community - both as double partners and as part of the training group at the school

Who can join the padel programme? Everyone who is passionate about the sport and wants to develop both their game and themselves. We will base our training on your experience and your padel level so that everyone will get a positive experience - no matter if you are an experienced tournament player or a brand new player.

Besides from our daily training, you will also get to meet some of the top players in Danish padel. We work with several top players and talented coaches in order to give you some cool padel experiences.

Facilities

We play in 'Padelworld' in Ikast, one of the coolest centres in Denmark, in short distance from the school. In Padelworld, quality and every single detail is taken into consideration and you'll get access to:

15 courses with a ceiling height of 10+ meters
Adidas MUNDO-technology, a supplier for the World Padel Tour
Excellent changing facilities and a nice lounge
Warm-up area with topclass fitness equipment
A strong padel community with a chance to play at local teams

We also cooporate with Ikast Tennis Club, which offers 3 nice outdoor-courts. We'll use those when the weather is too nice to play indoors.

It's a good idea to bring a bike to the school so that we can minimize transportation from the school to the padel centre.

Facilities at ISI

At ISI, you are surrounded by unique sports facilities. The school has, among other things, a sports hall, a training studio, a strength / fitness centre, theory classrooms, two outdoor multi-use courts and beach courts. And if you're also into outdoor training, we have access to one of country's newest and most innovative activity and training areas, Ikast Complete, just across the street.

This is also where FC Midtjylland’s Dream 99 facility is located, offering a huge range of football opportunities: 13 grass training pitches, several artificial turf pitches, and the EDC Arena artificial pitch, where you’ll also find two Goal Box training fields. In addition, there is a covered full-size pitch in the Stadome, which the football programmes use during the winter months. You’ll also find Ikast-Brande Arena here, which includes an arena and training halls, as well as outdoor padel and tennis courts. Within walking distance, there is also a golf course with a driving range, as well as chipping, bunker, and putting facilities.
